Light Housekeeping
Senior Housekeeping Services
A clean, organized home is one of the simplest ways to help a senior feel safe and comfortable. Our light housekeeping service keeps things tidy without the disruption of a full cleaning crew rotating through the house.
What light housekeeping covers
Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors. Wiping down kitchen counters and the front of appliances. Bathroom touch-ups — sink, toilet, mirror, floor. Taking out the trash and putting fresh liners in.
This is maintenance-level cleaning designed to keep the home consistently presentable. It is not a deep clean. If your loved one needs a one-time deep reset — baseboards, grout, inside-oven — we can pair this service with our standard deep cleaning team.
Laundry, linens, and bed making
Washing, drying, folding, and putting clothes away. Stripping and remaking the bed with fresh linens. Towels rotated and put back where they belong.
For seniors with mobility issues, laundry is often the first chore that becomes difficult — climbing down to a basement washer or carrying full baskets gets unsafe quickly. This is one of the highest-impact services we offer.
Kitchen cleanup and meal prep crossover
Many of our recurring senior housekeeping visits include a small amount of meal-prep crossover — running the dishwasher, wiping the table after lunch, organizing the pantry so what's needed is reachable. We don't do involved cooking, but we leave the kitchen in shape for the next day.
Part of our senior assistance category
This service is one piece of our broader Senior Companion & Household Assistance offering. Most families combine two or three services into a single weekly visit.
