Help for Aging Parents
If you're an adult child watching your parent slow down, this page is for you. You probably don't need a nursing service yet — you need a trusted, dependable helping hand that takes the daily friction off your parent's plate so they can keep living comfortably at home.
The 'I'm worried but not panicked' stage
Most families come to us at the same stage: a parent is still independent, still sharp, still managing — but the laundry is getting harder, driving is starting to feel risky, the fridge is emptier than it used to be, and the grocery trip turns into an all-day event.
That's the stage where non-medical assistance makes the biggest difference. A weekly companion visit, a standing grocery trip, a ride to the cardiologist, and a light housekeeping pass can preserve a parent's independence for years longer than going without.
What out-of-state families ask us most
How do I know my parent is actually okay this week? Our companion visits double as a wellness check — we can text you a short summary after each visit so you know what shape the house, the fridge, and your parent are in.
Can I schedule everything without my parent having to deal with logistics? Yes. Adult children book on behalf of a parent constantly. We coordinate with your parent for the visit itself, but the scheduling, payment, and changes all run through you.
Building the right schedule
There's no standard package. A common starting schedule is one three-hour weekly visit that covers a grocery trip, a light tidy-up of the kitchen and bathroom, a load of laundry, and 30 minutes of conversation before the helper leaves. From there, families add transportation, additional days, or specialty help as needs change.
Start small. Many of our longest-running families began with a single weekly visit and grew the schedule organically over time.
Part of our senior assistance category
This service is one piece of our broader Senior Companion & Household Assistance offering. Most families combine two or three services into a single weekly visit.
